This newly renovated Pantheon terrace apartment is designed to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be. It is located on the 5th floor of an ancient building, which  provides an elevator. Your home in Rome offers some truly splendid living spaces. Here you can enjoy some quiet time after a long hectic day of sightseeing. You'll be sure to enjoy all of the modern day comforts you need. For example, you will have access to a flat screen TV, WIFI Internet, air conditioning, a washer and a dryer. The living room is the first thing you see when you enter the apartment. You'll immediately notice the beautiful vintage wooden chest coffee table in front of the comfortable beige L shaped sofa bed. The decorative touches on the walls and the oversized arch floor lamp make this sunny room cosy and welcoming. Pay close attention to the view from the window: "Colonna Antonina" stands proudly in front of you. Adjacent to the living room, a little corridor with a decorative fireplace and a nice library takes you to the kitchen. A wooden bar lit with designer lamps and 3 stools introduces you to this space. Although not large, you'll find everything you need to cook up a delicious meal. It comes with a refrigerator/freezer, an oven, a gas stove, a microwave, a coffee machine, and dishwasher. Of course, all of the necessary kitchenware will also be provided. There is also a window which floods the kitchen with plenty of sun light. In front of the kitchen, a large window gives you access to the beautiful terrace with wonderful views over the city. From here, you'll even see the top of the "Il Vittoriano" monument of Piazza Venezia. The views will surely leave you amazed. Admire them while sipping a glass of wine resting on one of the patio chairs. The sleeping area is made up of a master bedroom with a comfy king size bed. You will also find night tables (with an iPod docking station), wall lamps, as well as a mezzanine with another queen size bed. Finally, a sleek, modern en-suite bathroom offers a standing shower with a rainfall shower head. This Pantheon terrace apartment is a place where characteristic wooden beam ceilings meet contemporary decor. It is certainly the place where you and your family will want to spend time relaxing on your Roman holiday. This apartment can be rented either for short or long-terms stays.

The Location

You will find this property on Piazza di Pietra. This is a charming square a few meters from the majestic Pantheon. This also means that you are very near to the Navona and Campo de' Fiori areas. These are great options for an evening in Rome. They offer many restaurants and bars that are perfect for an aperitivo, or tasting some delicious Roman dishes. From the Pantheon you will be within easy walking distance of the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia, and the Piazza del Popolo. Behind the latter, you can enjoy relaxing in the Villa Borghese park. This also offers great views from its Pincio Terrace. Alternatively, head Northeast to the Vatican to visit its museum and the impressively stunning St. Peter's Basilica. The Pantheon area gets very busy during the day, however remains quite peaceful at night. The late evening is in fact a great time to visit the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. The crowds will have dwindled to just a few people, and the monuments' illuminations are quite breathtaking. But you don't have to take only our word for it! This property really can’t be beaten for location, the minute you step out the main entrance there is a jaw dropping monument right in front of you! Minutes from the pantheon and Piazza Navona, a short walk to Trevi and the Spanish Steps and plenty of designer window shopping! Even the Coliseum was only about 30 minutes away on foot. The loft itself was gorgeous and only a few things stopped me giving it 5/5 on all fronts. Firstly we arrived at check in time with the key holder but the apartment was still being cleaned. Not a deal breaker as it meant we could leave our cases but weren’t comfortable leaving valuables (there isn’t a safe) so had to take these with us for lunch and come back and hour later to unpack. Silver lining however as we found a lovely place for a pasta lunch (€9 ish and €6 for a medium carafe of wine) called Pietro de Pantheon. We actually came back another day for lunch and the dinner on our last night. Second the pictures of the terrace on the website are, shall we say, generous. In reality it was very small and the wall mounted air conditioning unit made it feel even more so. The furniture was tired and dirty and the plant pots had definitely seen better days. I really think with a good clean and a bit of TLC this area could be much nicer (maybe planters hanging off the railings to allow a bit more floor space?). Consequently we didn’t spend an evening sitting out and drinking wine. Granted we didn’t come to Rome to do this every night but it would have been a lovely place for a night cap. Third, the mezzanine was very cramped and we all had to stoop to walk to the bed. The bed itself was very comfortable and due to literally being in the eaves was very cosy. You just seriously had to watch your head getting there which made me feel nervous about my daughter hurting herself. Hint: she was worried about the gap where the side of the bed met the railings so we used the oversized cushions off our bed as a barrier and this worked well. Finally the shower tray was very dusty and as the drain seemed to take the entire time of a shower to empty it meant we had lumps of dust floating around our ankles for the first few times we used it. A bit yuck. We had no hot water one evening and the following morning however a quick message to our key holder and it was sorted by the time time we returned that afternoon. Thank you! Other than those niggles we loved our Home in Rome. The key holder was helpful and prompt. Our car transfers to and from the airport excellent (we would definitely recommend this. And that beautiful Mercedes that collected us on arrival ?...!) and the customer service generally from the Rome Lofts team has been excellent. We considered AirBnB before hearing of this company but I’m so glad we reconsidered and if we return I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Oh and Aperitivo at Salotto 42 downstairs wasn’t cheap but worth it and they made our daughter feel very welcome. The concept of a buffet in a bar blew her mind!
